Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I have a friend with a 24 year old son who haS schzophrenia, she can not get him to leave her home, he is violent, threatens her, beats on her. She needs to find a way to get him to leave as this is literally killing her as she has Lupus herself and needs to live in a stress free environment. Which this is not. How can she legally get him out? and is there a place for him to go.

She is not legally obligated to live with him, support him, or to endure imminent threat of bodily harm. It is not a family law issue. Even if she has responsibilities as a guardian, she should not continue in that situation; she should contact his primary physician, mental health agency, even law enforcement, to require that he live elsewhere, receive appropriate medication or hospitalization, appropriate to his mental condition.
Have him baker acted. While he is at the facility - get guardianship over him so that you can direct where he will live. Then find a halfway house to place him in. Contact the Rescue Mission in your area - they are a fountain of information.
