Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My best friend, and is 17 years old. He has a 1 year old son, and was having regular visits with him weekly. The mother and him are no longer together, and she won't let him see his son, ad has now blocked his number so he can't even call to check in on him. My friend has never done anything to harm or endanger his son, and always took care of anything he needed. Is it legal for her to keep him from his son? And what can he do to get his visitation rights?
