Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My friends father recently passed and she had power of attorney before death but not after, the father had a bank account that she is trying to take over but was told a judge must sign off on it. Does this seem right and what sort of judge must she see?

A power of attorney expires at death so you need an order from the probate court. Contact my office for free consultation 727-446-7659

If there is no property then all you need to do is a Disposition without Administration in order to get the funds in his bank account IF he did not designate a beneficiary. Contact my office for an appointment, I will be glad to help you.
