Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I had a General Magistrate hear my case involving me getting custody of my 1st born who was living with me from May until about 2 weeks ago. The magistrate granted my modification and order my child support to be zero from the time I lost my job in July until I start working. My ex wife took my daughter and told her that the paperwork from the magistrate is not legal due to the judge not signing it. Am I to be notified if the judge does not sign the referal from the Magistrate, what can I do next. I contacted the police and was told the same thing that the paperwork is not legal until the judge signs it.

At this time you both have custody of this child. Contact the General Mag's office and let them know what has happened and request immediate custody of your child. Until the Judge signs is correct.
