Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My girlfriend and i have been together for a while,she has a son from a guy before me.he is in jail and has not seen the boy since he was an infant.the boy is almost 4yrs old now. If we get married is there a way for me in the process of us getting married to adopt him and strip the biological of his parental rights?

The simplest and most affordable option would be to pursue a Step-parent Adoption. Bio-dad would have to consent to it. We can use child support as a "club" to get his cooperation.
