Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Giving family member Temporary Custody

I'd like to give a family member temp custody of child for year or so (til I find better job..etc).

EX husband not named on birth certif. and in divorce papers not allowed contact with our child after previous behavior showing vindictive/combative towards me.

Would I have to get his consent ( though he has never seen/been involved in our childs life ever and lives in another country where resident) .....in order to have my family member get custody?

I want to make sure I do things correctly and within the law.

Thank you for any advice/help.

You should consult a family law attorney personally to review all the facts . If your ex has any parental rights then you would have to get his permission.

Even if your ex has no right to contact your child, you will need his consent (or a strong reason to convince the judge why he should't be allowed to object) to allow another person to take custody.
