Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My grandaughter has been interviewed by the Child Protection Agency here in Florida because she told them her father touched her inappropiately while visting him during the holiday season in another state(LA) We were informed that what he did was a felony but the state of Florida can not prosecute because it didn't happen here. The Agency said they would send a copy of their interview and send it to the law officials where the Dad lives. My daughter was advised that the children are to have no Contact with their Dad. So far it doesn't seem he has been arrested in the state of Louisiana and the Case worker here in Florida is not returning her phone calls. We are afraid nothing will be done to him. My question is what steps do we take now to make sure he does not have contact with her now or in the future. I am sure if he get 's the chance he will do it again.

Also, is there anything we can do to see if this creep can be prosecuted??? He lives with his step sister and there is a 3 year old that lives in the household?? oh yeah he won't give my daughter his physical address either. I am so afraid he will come to school and pick them up, the school

can't take him off the pick-up list unless there is a court order.

The sheriff dept in Louisiana called, and investigating the case, in his brief introduction, he mentioned that he used to live in the same neighborhood as my

son-in=law, and he mentioned he knows his stepsister, I feel the detective could

be biased and I am wondering can we get the case assigned to somone else??If so how??? I just wanted this case to be investigated carefully for my granddaughters sake

Custody issues can be determined by the court that has jurisdiction. Whether he will be prosecuted is a matter for the Lousiana officials. You can call and see if they will do so.
