Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I'm a grandmother of a 3 yr old boy whom is my whole world. His parents are not married and are both alcoholics. My son the father has 2 DUI and the mother is an abusive alcoholic . I've watched her put a belt to her 8 yr old I've seen her kick and slap him too. I've heard her comment to me about wanting to throw the baby across the room unto the wall because it infringes on her drinking. She displays no patience with either the kids doing homework or dinner time. I'm concerned for my 3 yr olds well being and they refuse to let me see him what can I do

If the child lives with you then you can file a case for custody on your own, otherwise you should call DCF. I recommend doing it privately and using private counsel.
