Guardianship of minors

I am a divorced mother of 4. I am

engaged to married in 01/08. My

ex-husband is currently in jail for an

undetermined amount of time. Is

there a way to give my live in fiancee

the legal right to take the kids to the

doctors, sign school papers, etc prior

to us being married? Can I issue an

authorization for temporary

guardianship?
