Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Guardianship

My son is 17 (18 in December) years old and wants to stay with my sister in North Carolina for his senior year and go to school up there. The school says I need to transfer guardianship to my sister, how do I do this without spending a fortune?

Re: Guardianship

Call or write the school and see if they would accept a General or Special (just for educational purposes) Power of Attorney and see if that fits the bill. They may even have a "suggested" form or format for you to use.

I never heard of transferring a guardianship.
