Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Guardianship

Can an 18 year old legally live wherever he wants? We

have a family friend that will turn 18 Jan 1, 2005. His

parents in Nov 2004 legally gave guardianship to an

Aunt that lives in Colorado. The boy wants to return to

Florida and live with us when he turns 18. Can he do

this? He has had some minor court appearances such

as restricted driving license for to many speeding

tickets and one for family problems that got of hand.

We do not want to do anything wrong in this matter.

Does the boy have to go to court to endgardianship

when he is 18?

Re: Guardianship

He may not need to terminate the court ordered guardianship. I am available to consult with you on this case.

Re: Guardianship

Guardianship usually requires court termination. The guardian should now petition to have it terminated.
