What happends to a Child Support order when the Petitioner is deceased
I want to know what happends to a child support order when the Petitioner is deceased. I am the respondent and my ex-wife passed away two years ago. There is a remaining balance with the courts and the child is now a 23 year old adult.

Since the $ was for child support I would think it belongs to the child. He would have to petition the court for payment.
