Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Hello.

I got married in Iran at the age of 16 and my husband was 31 years old, when any women get married in my country the rabay would pick a page for us to sign and nobody read the page it is the law and we have to sign, so now I am getting divorce in united state, even though I have been living in United state as an adult and I am American citizen. my husband is try to show the court that my marriage certificate is a contract and he want to use that against me, I was miner at that time. what they make the women sign. is when we get divorce we don't get any property, please help me.

I just had a mediation today and I am waiting to got to the court. thank you

Retain your own attorney. I doubt that the U.S. would honor that type of contract as it is against the very grain of our nature. To us you would be considered a minor not able to make sucha decision. However, you will need an immigration attorney to help you.
