Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
Hello,
My husband continues to drive drunk even though time and time again we have talked about it. He always agrees to not do it again. Then he does. His luck is going to run out one day and he will get caught. Hopefully he doesn't hurt himself or anyone else in the process.
I want to know what I can do now to prepare for this in order to minimize the financial loss and liability for myself and our two children. We have been married for 21 years and have accumulated the typical things - cash, house, cars, jewelry, retirement accounts, etc.
I told him yesterday that my next step would be to meet with someone to seek legal advice regarding protecting myself. He wasn't happy about it, but I do not want to ignore this any longer. I also am not looking to divorce. What is my best course of action?
Best regards

Very simply, The Marchman Act.
Get a Divorce then you will be protected from his auto accident liability.
