Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

trying to hire a lawyer & child support.

My question is in two parts.First I have been trying to rehire a old attorney she keeps telling me she will get back to me and hasn't it's been tree weeks.Should I tell her to forget it and find another one?Second part how long does it have to be before legal action can be taken for past child support?
