Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Home Occupancy vs Possession

I entered into an interim mediation agreement with my wife which gives her exclusive occupancy (not possession) of the house. I current;y reside in Maryland but travel back monthly to visit my children. We both share the mortgage and deed. She has changed the locks on the house and will not give me access to my belongings in the house. Is this legal? Does she have the right to forbid me from obtaining my belongings in the house, as we both own the home?

She has the right to change the locks, and you'll have to get an order from the judge to get your stuff. However, the police will probably help you get some of your clothes (whatever you can get in about 30 minutes), though this depends on the police agency, since different police departments treat this differently.
