Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Looking for an honest answer

I'm a single 30-year old male, who purchased a house one year ago. My girlfriend and her daughter (previous relationship) moved into my house. Since then, my girlfriend and I had a baby boy. The boy is 11 months old and all three of them have been living in my house.

I feel threatened in my house and have been the subject of verbal and physical abuse. Rather than press charges, I've asked her to leave, but she does not have the money to leave. Unfortunately, I don't have a blank check to give her to get up and go as well.

Besides Child Support to my son, what if anything at all do I owe this woman?

I know it's going to get ugly, but if somebody can give me all the options and choices that I may or may not have. I've been told that I should get a temporary restraining order, while other professionals told me to sell my house and eat my losses.

Any answers wouls be appreciated

Re: Looking for an honest answer

You will owe child support and a roof over his head. You may seek custody of the child if that is in his best interest.

You can seek her eviction under FS 83. No matter how you cut it, it will not be easy. Good luck.

You can seek custody of the child. You may not have to pay child support. I will need more information from you before you evict her.
