Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
My husband abandoned me he left me with no income and he just started receiving SSD in the some of 1,400.00 a month plus 674.00 monthly from the state of Az due to a assault in 93. He was the sole source of income in our household. I have no money coming in and bills are coming in. What are my rights and where or what do I do to survive. I have to care for parents who are 85 and 82 with dementia and in poor health. Please where do i turn?
Thankyou, Darcy

Depending upon your circumstances, you may be entitled to alimony. You did not mention any children, so I assume there are no children born of the marriage. At the very least your husband should be responsible for his share of the marital debt.
You should talk to an attorney in person, then probably initiate a divorce proceeding and seek your remedy through the court. It is not possible to fully evaluate your individual situation based on the information provided.
Also, as caregiver for your parents, are you a court appointed guardian? If your parents are not able to care for themselves they may need to have someone appointed guardian in order to properly care for them. There may be local assistance for your parents as well through non-profit or religious organizations.
Need more info as to your marriage. As to your parents, have yourself appointed guardian and payee of their funds. You can have them remain in your home and take care of them using those funds and pay your mortgage and utilities.
