Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
if my husband is a citizen of Bahamas and has conditional residency here, I am a U.S. citizen. We have a 2 year old daughter who was also born in NYC like myself. He is not working, I am the primary care giver of our daughter. He is not working, his mother assist us financially. I have been doing a course online. Our daughter is not in daycare or preschool. All my family is in NYC where I am from. I want a divorce like yesterday and would desperately like to move back home where I have my family and support system so I can get back on my feet. He says he will not divorce me and will take our daughter from me because his family has more money and he will hire a good lawyer. I am not trying to be spiteful, but he is not a good person and I have no support here. What are my chances of getting the divorce and being allowed to relocate ASAP. He has continuously threatened me, if I try to take our daughter. Please assist me and the steps I need to take and how good are my chances. Thank you in advance.

1. Start your dissolution of marriage proceeding.
2. Request your support and child support.
3. Request permission to relocate.
4. Should you retain an attorney, he can request reimbursement of your attorney fees.
5. Have copies of your tax returns.
6. Good luck.
Agree with Mr. Slater. Also it only takes one person to get a divorce so if he says he won't allow it, what he says does not matter if you want the divorce you will get it.
