Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My husband was convicted of sexual assalt towards a 17yr old almost 18 when he was in his mid twenties. He never had sex with her. Her mother pressed charges and since he was waiting for a trial in jail for 10 months they gave him an out. Seven years probation, two years house arrest only to go work, along with five year of theraphy group class. He was the only member in the class to be allowed to live with his kids because the judge saw no threat. Two years later he divorced and two years later he remarried. Since then he has been married for ten years and they have been together a total of thirteen years this coming August. He has been labled by the system as sex offender and registers four times a year. Can he and his wife adopt since she has no been able to conceive?
