Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
My husband and I are getting divorced. We have two children, 4 and 6. He's bought a beachfront condo, a new car, and has stopped payment on our house putting it in a pre-foreclosure status. He has opted, without my consent, to stop the foreclosure with a deed in lieu with the bank. My father's name is also on the deed, but not the mortgage. He's refusing alimony and balking at child support, stopping payment on the children's tuition and basically dictating how the entire process is to move forward. I have been a stay-at-home mom for six years while he has supported the family with a $150K plus income. Says I need to get a job and move out of the house. Obviously I can't afford to and I'm afraid he's plotting to make me homeless so that he can take the kids.

I believe I answered you earlier but incase you did not get the phone cell message - you need to file a Petition for Emergency Termporary Needs as soon as possible. You can gain possession of the current residence and furnishings and have him pay you for the back payments for the mortgage so you do not lose your home. You can get temporary alimony and child support until a final hearing is held on this matter.
