Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My ex husband and I have been divorced since dec 2004. We currently share joint rotating custody of our 2 kids, 15, and 9. He has been unempolyed for the past 1.5 yrs. He suddenly has it in his head that 1. he will take me to court and get me to pay him "alimony", because he is not working.... 2. get me to pay child support..(again, we have kids equal time), and 3. suddenly does not want to keep kids according to our agreement. Its half time, i work rotating 12 hour shift.

what are the possibilities that i can modify custody to fit my working schedule, and would they make him pay support even thou he is not working... I am asssuming and hoping he is just talking out his... thanks!!

1) Alimony can't be added to a divorce after the divorce is closed and alimony wasn't part of the original divorce.

2) It is possible to have support on a 50/50 custody situation. The child support guidelines still apply, though, usually, child support is greatly reduced when the parents have 50/50.

You can usually modify custody to fit your work schedule, but realize that you may lose 50/50 if you do that.
