Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I am the husband of a family of 7 including my wife. She took a job not suited for family life and when confronted with the problem she said "I need a break".Since then ,around a month and a week now,she has only seen the kids twice and said "mommy loves you on speaker phone once. She has sent no money for their well being and has spent a total time of maybe 8 hours with them. They ask questions I can not answer like is mommy mad at us and if we be good will she come back. The only excuse she gives is shes workin so hard and she really wants the managers position.A neighbor is furious and said if I wasnt going to she was goin to file a complaint. If she did would I keep custody of my stepkids and would it be abandonment.I love them as they do me.they are my children. We just moved to Florida, and if i had custody could I move back home.

No. A step-parent cannot win "custody" of children. Only the legal parent can get timeshare with the kids. In fact, if you divorce, she has the legal right to deny you all contact with the kids.
If you did not adopt the children you have no legal rights regarding the children.
If you are a step parent then you have zero rights. zero.
