Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My husband filed for divorce in May 09, the hearing was set for August 11 but since then we have rekindled our marriage and neither of us attended the hearing. My question is..because neither of us attended does that mean the case has been defaulted or is there such a thing as a continuance that he could have asked for from his attorney?

Congratulations on your renewed romance! The judge may have dismissed your case since no one showed up, but probably not. If you didn't file a counterpetition, your husband can just call his lawyer and have the case dismissed. If you did file a counterpetition, you'll have to have his lawyer create a joint dismissal. Then--poof!--you stay married, hopefully forever.
