Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
My husband ex girlfriend just got up and move somewhere in Georgia, with what she calls his son the reason of me putting it that way is that she doesn't want to put his name on the birth certificate but is harassing him for child support money, the child turn one year last Dec, we don't know where she leaves, she moves from city to city, before paying child support my husband wants to hire a lawyer if proven his to go for joint custody, cause we want the poor child to have a stable life, cause she refuses to work, and every time someone ask her to move with them she just pack off and move no matter wich state or city. My question is that my husband and I live in Florida, and we're not moving anywhere, we want to know does the lawyer have to be in Georgia where the kid lives, or south Florida Broward county where we live, and how will joint custody works?

If the child is now in GA, you will need a GA attorney. Your husband will need to prove paternity.
Before discussing joint custody you have to file a petition to establish your rights to the child. Contact my office for free consultation 727-446-7659.
