Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
husband kicking me out
I have been married to my husband for 20 years. We have 5 children, 4 of them under age. Recently my husband and I have not been getting along. He has taking me off of our joint account (without my permission) and opened one in his own name. I have no access to money if I need it for any reason. He works (own business) and i have not worked since our marriage, we both agreed I would home school the kids. Now he is trying to kick me out of the house we live in (it is in his fathers name) and offered me 3000. to go away. He has moved me into our daughters bedroom, he will not give me any furniture or anything if we divorce. Can he just kick me out? can i legaly get alimony after 20 years of being a stay at home mom? Two kids want to stay with him, 2 want to go with me. Can I get any child support if this happens? He has also cancelled our health insurance and I have no money for my medications. please help!

You need to speak with an attorney immediately.

I agree you need to speak to an attorney immediately. You may or may not get alimony but you are certainly entitled to marital assets -- and any assistance from his father could impact his assets/income calculation for purposes of support.
