Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
husband moved out
My husband of 6 years left the day after vacation (he told me he was going to work). He came home the next day and said he moved out that he had been unhappy for years? He has been out the home for 7 wks. Is that abadonment? Can I change the locks?
We have a 3.5 yr old boy who he watched on weekends at his new place. I don't have a physical address for emergencies. What is the law on that?

If your husband announced he was leaving and, in fact, has been gone from the home for 7 weeks, you should be able to safely change the locks. Your husband is required to provide his information including telephone number and address in case of emergency. If he refuses to provide it, then you will need to request this information in a court filing.
