Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
My husband and I have an out-of-state mediated agreement. He basically gets holidays. I am the majority time parent. He moved back here last month and lives an hour away (different county). We verbally agreed to every other weekend spent at dad's house. Dad is no longer communicating picking up our son anymore and is showing up when he chooses to pick up our son. What are my legal rights and actions can I take to prevent this? For instance, is my agreement as I described enough for an officer to enforce? Also, what is the typical outcome of a contempt filing in this situation? I'm guessing the judge would simply ask that the entire agreement be reworked.

Follow the agreement you have in place. The police will abide by it. Let him take you to court if he wants to modify it.
Get an order from the court that clarifies the time sharing schedule.
