Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My ex husband pays minimal child support for 2 kids. It is well below what he should be paying but I wanted it over and just agreed on the amount. He still owes back support from 8 yrs ago. Now our children are patrols and have a chance to go to Washington, D.C. The trip is very pricey and he refuses to help pay. Can I legally take him to court for the back support and half the trip?

back support no because you waived it. As to the trip he should be responsible for one half this depends on the wording of your final judgment, which I would need to review. Contact my office for free consultation.

Is he behind on the amount he is supposed to be paying? If so, you can file a Motion for Contempt and Enforcement. As for the payment for extra-currcicular activities, did the Final Judgment have provisions for the payment for those activities? Please feel free to contact me to discussyour options further.
