Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My husband was sentenced on Jan 6th 2016 to spend 120 days in the Sumter County Jail in Bushnell Fla. The charge was for driving while license suspended. His release day was last sunday April 3rd 2016. When it came time to release him they said there was a purge he has to pay before he can be released for child support and the purge amount is $ 7,160.00. And the warrant was from the neighboring county which is Marion County Fla. There saying there was a court date he missed in Feb for child support hearing. Which he missed due to the fact he was in jail in Sumter County. When he was sentenced on Jan 6th I called to notify the Clerk Of Courts in Marion Co. and the Child Support Office and they said thats all I needed to do. So here's the issue I have not been able to purge him out of Sumter Co. in hopes that when he gets to Marion Co they release him on ROR or reduce the purge beings he has been in jail since Jan 6th. But I am trying to find out if Marion Co has a time limit they have to transport him back there since this is a civil case? I called the Clerks office there and keep getting different answers from there clerks. One said they have 72 hours to transport him or they have to release him and another said they have 90 days to transport him and today I was told they have 2 weeks. I am beyond confused and frustrated. Can someone please give me some insight on this as to its getting very confusing to me and of course theres all of the inside jail house attorneys( meaning inmates ) that are giving there input to my husband thats not helping.

Welcome to Florida Gestapo Justice. Your case is not unusual, just unfair and unjust. County #2 may hold him until county#1 says he can be released or transferred back to county #1. Contact the county#1 Judges office for assistance in getting him transferred there and to set a hearing.
