Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My husband has been served a "verified motion for final judgment of execution". He has 20 days to respond. We know this is becuase he has not paid $5000.00 to his Ex wife as stated in a final decree dated 8/23/07. There was another final decree issue in May 2008. The decree from 2007 said he had to have the money paid by Jan. 2008. The decree in May 2008 stated that he still had to pay it but the motion his ex filed for contempt was denied. The decree states that she did not show proof that he had the means to pay the money at that time. Now she is sueing for interest on the $5000.00. Our questions are - can she get that interest? And when would it go back too? 2007 or 2008.

If the judgment was issued without interest, then probably not. I would doubt that there was no interest attached to the judgment.
