Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My husband and I are going through some really tough times with our marriage right now. He told me that he managed to divorce his first wife without her knowing. He said he did not give her the papers for the court date so that she would not be there. How can I protect myself from this happening to me?

He would have to have an affidavit of service and/oor affidavit of diligent search together with publication of Notice of Action. I believe he may have spoke a mistruth. If you really think he is up to no good, I suggest you file for divorce.
