Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

my husband and i are on the verge of a seperation which might lead to a divorce. i have explained to him that i dont need anything from him either than financial support for the 2.5 year old daughter and 11 month old son we share. he has threatened me before stating that if i ask for more than $300 a month he will sign his rights to me so he will not have to pay a dime. can that be possible? is there any hope out there for me and my kids because i can not support them myself?

The law doesn't allow him to just sign his rights over to you to get out of child support.
