Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

What do I do if my ex husband violates the terms of our divorce agreement as far as our children go? Our agreement states that he cannot take the children out of state without giving me two weeks notice. He took them out of state from Fla to GA and called to tell me on the way there. We live 3 hours away from eachother and I didnt know what to do. Also, he has moved and refuses to give me his new address...again, he told me he moved AFTER he took the kids for visitation. And lastly, he lies so he doesnt have to see the children on his scheduled weekends. Please help...thanks.

At the very least you should file a motion for contempt for violating the agreement for taking the kids out of state.

Also, speak to a local family lawyer about withholding visitation. Most judges agree that it's okay to withhold visitation when the other parent won't provide an address, but not all judges agree, and withholding visitation can be a dangerous idea. In fact, some judges will even change custody over it. It's probably safe to withhold visitation, but a local family law attorney will know how the judge on your case will react if visitation is withheld.
