Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My husband walked out on me and my son when he was 4 years old. He is now 15. Since then he would disappear for years at a time then resurface. He has always known my work address and number but due to his violent drinking episodes I would never tell him our childs living address or school. He now wishes to take me to court for visitation. Was it illegal not to tell him the address of the residence where our child lived?
