Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
My husband and I will be getting a divorce and we have two children. He owns his own business and takes a draw from that business of $2000 per month which he claims on his personal taxes. This is the only income that he is using for the child support calculations. Is he also obligated to show what his business profited last year as income?

The business income isn't relevant, but every penny he takes home is. Watch out for him using the business to pay personal expenses. He can pay for his car, gas, lunches etc., through the business and get away with it, but not things like his rent or mortgage. You should get a lawyer or an accountant to help you. You have a right to go through his business records to make sure what he is claiming as business expenses are legit. A lot of his "business expenses" may actually be personal expenses, which count against him for child support income purposes.
