Income by step-parent

Does the state of florida take into consideration the salary and assets of a step-parent when determining the amount of child support owed by the natural parent?

No. Child support is based only upon the net income of the parents, the cost of health insurance for the children, the cost of day care, and, rarely, a few other factors, such as support being paid for other children or the amount of visitation. Income of step-parents is not considered.
