Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Increase alimony when child support ends

My ex was ordered to pay alimony, but the judge determined he couldn't pay the full amount. When our child turns 18 and he isn't paying child support anymore, can I go after him for the rest of the alimony?

That order must have set a time in the future when he could start making full the payments; the arrearages accrue and would continue beyond the child's 18th birthday since it refers back to the time when the child needed the support.
