Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Infant out of state visitation

I am currently living in GA with my 3 month old daughter. Her father and I are in court proceeding pro se. We are waiting for paternity results so we can move on to visitation and support. He has not wanted to see her and so he has no experence with her. I am trying to be fair with him and was wondering what is standard for my daughters age as to visitation.

Generally, based on his lack of interest and failure to have any contact, a court might allow only supervised visitation or if you and he still can get along, that he visit the child at your residence or a public place with you present during your daughter's tender year(s). If he spends more time with the child and she gets to know him, he would be allowed unsupervised and perhaps overnight visitation when he can prove he is able to handle the responsibilities of a father of a young daughter.
