With Joint custody. Do you have to visit the other parent often? Does the minor child get to say no?

" Joint custody" just means that both parents have a say in the upbringing of the child. That is, both parents get to agree on where the child will go to school, which doctor the shall show go to, what religion the child shall be, etc. The term has nothing to do with timeshare (custody and visitation). The amount of time the child spends with each parent should be defined specifically in a parenting plan. The minor child gets no say in how much timeshare he or she will spend with either parent.
