Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
The Judge ordered an guardian ad litem for my Modification of Custody and stated that both me and my ex would share the cost of the guardian, however I am unable to come up with the $750.00 for my share of the Guardian and the Guardian will not meet with me until I paid her the $750.00 in full. The Motion for Modification was filed by my ex-wife - I have had custody of my children since our divorce was final in 2001. Yes. my children are worth $750.00 but what can I do if I dont have that. I have tried everything I can to come up with the money but everyone is hurting. Is there any motion I can file to waive or defer payment so I can at least meet with the Guardian because my children's safety is at risk here. My middle son just had to call the police because his mother's boyfriend was beating him with a belt and then pciked him up and threw him across the room where he hit his head and knee - I took pictures of his knee when I picked him up. The police just stated that this was a family issue and handled with the family. Please I need help

File a motion with the judge asking to appoint a guardian that will do it pro bono. There may be some. Just explain your problem.
After you to as Mr. Wagner suggest, then call the Dept. of Family Services and ask them to investigate the safety of your children.
