Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

If my kids turn 18 and their father still owes back child support do the payments stop or can I file for back support? We are in Florida.

The payments are supposed to continue at the same rate, they will be all applied towards the arrears until paid off

The current support obligation may end, but the arrearage is still owed.
