right of a lawyer
I filed for mod. of support to remove 1 of 2 children. Filled all papers the court said I needed which was a short form afidavit.
The x got a lawyer and he sent me a form requesting everything from assets and libilites to education for the last 3 yrs. Been divorced for 14 yrs.
My ? is do I have to answer his request.

Yes, you do. Your petition started a legal action. The other side is entitled to discovery (you are as well). If your ex is going to be represented, I suggest you consider hiring an attorney as well. You do not want to be at a disadvantage as you do not get to go back to court under the argument that you lost because you didn't have represention...
