Can a lawyer request personal information such as w-2's, tax returns, check stubs, bank statements, and etc. before paternity has been determined?

He can, but you p[robably would not be required to provide this type of financial information until there has been a paternity determination. After that, though, you will have to provide all of your financial information for a support determination.
