Leasing while divorcing

My friend's husband has just asked of a

divorce. They are both on the lease and

he has decided to leave. She however,

cannot afford it alone. Are there any

laws in florida to help her break it or

help give her a solution?

No, Florida law doesn't allow a lease to be broken because of a divorce or separation. Unfortunately, these types of situations often ruin people's credit. She might consider asking a divorce judge for temporary alimony to pay the rent until the lease is up, but temporary alimony for lease payments is very, very rare.
