legal separtion laws over time

I have been separated and living apart from my husband for four years can I be considered legally separated without having filed any paperwork.

No. You must file a Petition for Dissolution of Marriage. However, you may be able to file a simple petition which would cost substantially less in attorney fees and can be finished in less than 30 days. Feel free to contact me for more information.
