Is it legal to spank your child as a form of discipline in Florida?

Yes, until such spanking crosses the line of being considered abuse, i.e., harmful physically or mentally to the child. Age, maturity, use and purpose of spanking, and emotional well-being of the child are some of the factors to be considered. It should never be injurious.
