Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Legally change name

Can a mother legally change her daughter last name to her married name with out the consent of her bio father? Bio father is in the picture and pays child support. The father wants the child to keep his name and not change it.

Re: Legally change name

Looks like you are going to court. If the father objects to the name change, you will have to present your reasons to the judge.

I would suggest talking to your local attorney and see how this would play out.

I hope it is more than just spite.
