Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

We live in Brevard County, Florida and my husband has custody of his daughter. What do the laws state about him being able to move his daughter out of state due to him having to get another job due to the space center starting to close down?

It can depend on the Custody Order entered by the court and what it says, but at the very least he would need to petition the court for permission to move her.

Florida statute 61.13001 controls. Basically written notice, in a specific format outlined in the statute, must be given to the other parent and the court. If no objection by the other parent in thirty days, he gets to move with the child. If an objection is filed than court approval is necessary.
