Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I live with my child's (1 yr old) father due to fear of him taking my son. He is telling me by law I cannot take our baby and go visit my mother 125 miles away for any reason w/o his permission, which he will not give. Can he do this? There is no custody arrangement of any kind and we are not married.

Unless he files a paternity suit to establish his rights as a father,he has NONE! This sounds like a control type person. Take your son and have a nice visit. Maybe even stay. If I can be of assistance please contact my office for an appointment.
